TrioCUT is characterized by smooth cutting and low cutting pressure resulting in high surface quality and long tool life. A conical position of the insert pocket guarantees a highly stable tool shank. Further advantages are the radially back-ground thread profile for an extremely large wedge angle as well as a stable cutting edge.
The optimal field of application is fine threads and/or very short thread lengths.
In size 17, versions are available with a drilling edge that allow the core hole to be produced using the drill-milling process.
